Cyclone Alfred

Cyclone Alfred has put so many of us in a spin. Alma Plate is open again, but getting back on track.
We postponed our yoghurt workshop which was scheduled on the day cyclone Alfie was expected to hit Brisbane. The cyclone has now temporarily closed the class venue House of Trinity in Graceville, so we are in the process of sorting an updated location. We will be back in touch once this is all set and ready to go again.
On a more delightful note, the above pictured 'flower' is a cutting from the bottom of a bok choy. This particular bok choy managed to make it through the cyclone unharmed down at Neighbourhood Farm in Oxley. While the farm encountered some damage, the bok choy plants were thankfully AOK.
This bok-choy stem looks a bit 'cyclone-esque'. Bok choy is a fabulous quick-cooking and tasty green. Just rinse and saute on high, and in a minute or two you have delicious greens.
Well - that's our tip and update for now. Wishing the best to all in cyclone recovery.
